Roxana Flammini

Roxana Flammini is an Egyptologist who is focused on the study of the relationships among the Ancient Egyptian state, the Levantine cities and Nubia, working also upon theoretical approaches (world-systems analysis). She teaches History of the Ancient Near East at UCA. She studied History at the University of Buenos Aires (BA, Diploma of Honour, 1988, Licenciate, 1994, PhD 2007). She founded the CEHAO in 2002 and its peer-reviewed journal Antiguo Oriente in 2003. Nowadays, she holds the position of Independent Researcher at the National Research Council (CONICET) and coordinates the Ancient Near Eastern Studies Research Unit of the Institute of Humanities (CONICET). She also serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the Ancient Near East Monograph Series (SBL & CEHAO); and was a member of the International Cooperative Initiative (SBL) until 2015. She has published books, papers and chapters in books.
